428 STANDARDS AND CERTI FICATIONS ELECTROSTAT I C PROPERT I ES EN 1 1 49 - 5 : 201 8 This is the standard specifying the material and design requirements for protective clothing that dissipates electrostatic charges , used as part of a full grounding system to prevent fire-igniting discharges, where the minimum ignition energy of an explosive environment is not less than 0.016 mJ. (The standard does not apply to protective gloves or footwear that dissipate electrostatic charges, which are separate and are not an integral part of the clothing). ENHANCED VISIBILITY CLOTHING FOR DAYLIGHT EN 17353:2020 TYPE A The equipment is worn by users of not being seen exists only at daylight conditions. This equipment uses only " fluorescent material " as an enhanced visibility component. ENHANCED VISIBILITY CLOTHING FOR DARK CONDITIONS EN 17353:2020 TYPE B Equipment is worn by users where risk of not being seen only a dark conditions. This equipment uses only " retroreflective material " as an enhanced visibility component. Type B is subdivided into 3 levels, as below. The classification depends on the total area worn or the placement of the device on the user's torso and limbs: -Type B1 (free hanging) -Type B2 (limbs) -Type B3 (on torso or torso and limbs) ENHANCED VISIBILITY CLOTHING FOR DAYLIGHT, TWILIGHT AND DARK CONDITIONS EN 17353:2020 TYPE AB Equipment worn by users where risk of not being seen exists during daylight, twilight and dark conditions. This equipment uses fluorescent as well as the retroreflective and/or combined performance materials as enhanced visibility components.
